This place was featured on Somebody Feed Phil, so I knew I had to try this while in town! While Tartine on it's own is great, the bakery competition in SF is so stiff that in comparison I found this place to be good but not great. I got to try their morning bun (like an orange cinnamon roll) and it was good! Nice flavor, soft, pullable, just wish I had warmed it up before eating. I also got to try their canelé and the texture was not what I thought it was going to be. It looks cakey - like a brownie, but it's actually got more of a hard-shell, soft interior texture. I was actually quite surprised and intrigued. Never had one before! Though, the flavor was a bit unmemorable. Can't really recall what it tasted like. Parking wise, street parking is pretty much the only option. Good luck!

Great bakery in SF! We ordered the croissant and Bavarian fruit tart. The croissant was crispy on the outside but soft and buttery on the inside--a fine croissant, which might have tasted better had it been toasted. The fruit tart custard was sweet but not too sweet, and the fruits were perfectly ripe. A perfect dessert to start or end your day. Service was decently fast and there's a busy cafe vibe inside. Would highly recommend eating your pastries at Dolores park nearby!

The finest bakery in SF without a doubt. Lemon tart steels the show but the quiche, scones, cookies and other treats are all divine. The prices are also sky high and the ordering process can be quite stressful, but after a few visits you'll be able to manage just fine. Order through the cue and grab a seat if you can find one to enjoy all the tasty treats you've just dropped a small fortune on
